My style comes from my exploration of highly sensitized states of being.
I prefer to find deep triggers for creating authentic relationships with improvisation and dancing.
These relationships can be with self, others, the space and/or objects.
I will be guiding us through various "preparations" before each exploration of improvisation,
moving us towards discovering mind-states and creating in these highly sensitized states.

Focused on 3 principles/ Viewpoints:

1. Linstening – Kinaesthetic Response is a viewpoint of time
2. Creating material – architecture is a viewpoint of space
3. Emotion – is a viewpoint of body

The Viewpoints is a training technique developed by renowned American director´s Mary Overlie and Anne Bogart. The Viewpoints focuses on reawakening the performer´s instincts through impulse work and play, and exploring the basic elements of performance - the body in time and space - so that the artist can learn to use them articulately when performing and creating new work. The training is mainly ensemble-based, with each performer learning to respond impulsively and playfully to their fellow performers. It allows them to function together with synergy, intuition and spontaneity, creating courageous performative work quickly. Viewpoints also develops the fundamental performance skills that help the actor/ dancer/ performer achieve a dynamic stage presence.

In the short two hours session we had together my main interest was to offer an atmosphere and atmospheric guidance-first through textures of live played sound and imaginative landscape, and then by following patterns of individual fantasies and desires.
We worked with the idea of limitation. We searched for a common ground from which each one could connect to her/his own sensations and find extreme states of mind and physicality while still relating to a collective experience. I shared my thoughts about some human/animal aspects in improvisation with the group.
We then opened to a free interpretation of the instructions, and continued the improvisation with keeping a high level of tension that played a role of a connecting tissue and allowed direct and indirect interactions.
I could have watched these sessions forever. Thank you. (Maya and Roy)

my proposal for this session orginates from some urges and current interests of mine:
- first of all, the desire of not taking ourselves too serious when we improvise on a stage (be it with an audience or not). Self-irony then is a tool to be able relativizing your doing and being at any moment, to stay open towards possibilities and the present constellation.
(how: different tasks to let go of inhibition or judgement about ourselves and the others, from gym aerobic w.up to funny monstrous creatures embodiement)
- then, to develop an ability to recognise 'what is there'...to let the situation reveal us something we don't know yet.
(work in duos and trios with a focus on 'storytelling' , meant as free-associative unfolding of the story between us)
- to finish, we have been diving in some open impros, first in a big group then in smaller groups.

impro sessions in berlin

dear performers,
This is a new format of Improvisation meeting happening since a
couple of weeks.
It is a non- commercial space for group- Improvisations to happen.
We want to establish a culture of Improvisation in Berlin, apart from
contact Impro.
Every time there will be one person invited to share his scores with
us, and set a frame of the Impro.
This means, that every time will be different and continuity is in the
history of the group, rather than a continues work on one specific
approach.
The group is open, and aims for a conti nuous investigation into group-
Improvisation.
We are precious for the time we can still use the space. The meetings
are intended
to take place once a week, place and time being announced by mail before.
We are looking forward to dance with you,
